Being away from your comfort zones, one needs to adjust a lot of things, one of these is his/her social life. To help you and your family gain friends and expand network, you can try the Meetup Groups. You can install meetup app in your mobile phones and join groups which interest you and which suits your preferences and your profile. There are different activities you can join, some are for free and some has mininimal fees.
So, you have already booked a cheap flight and you are on your way to a long hard earned vacation. Unless you are traveling via land or sea, your travel really starts on your way to the airport. As much as I love my home, the airport in my country really sucks big time so I have to make the best out of it. It has gotten better over the years but it pales in comparison to world class airports. Though, that does not mean that I start my trip with a downer.
So, here are my 7 tips that I have learned through out the years that made my airport experience hassle-free.
Sightseeing
Can’t miss Grand Palace when you are a first timer in Bangkok. This place boast the grand architecture that Bangkok has, it is a home to the Emerald Buddha, Reclining Buddha and different temples. In the vicinity, you can also go to Wat Pho to get an authentic Thai massage. Going here is relatively easy, the cheapest I know is getting off from Sapan Takshin BTS station and a 10-15 boat ride to take you to Grand Palace stop and walk your way there, other means are taxi/grab/uber though you might have to endure Bangkok traffic jam. On your way back to Sapan Takshin, you can also see the Wat Arun Temple. Personally, I have never set foot at this temple but just admire it from the boat which is already enough for me as I have already seen a lot of temples already.
